Judicial Education Coordinator

The Law & Economics Center of the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School is a national center for research and education that focuses on the timely and relevant economic analysis of legal and public policy issues. To fulfill its education mission, the LEC provides dynamic training programs in law and economics to sophisticated audiences including judges, academics, lawyers, government authorities and staff members, and state attorneys general and their senior staff. The LEC has an opening for a Judicial Education Coordinator. This position will be responsible for administering the LEC’s federal judicial education programs as well as coordinating with all law school centers, institutes, and divisions to ensure the success of the law school’s outreach to the federal judiciary.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Database development and management;
  • Event marketing and recruiting;
  • Program coordination and management;
  • Management of event timelines and task lists;
  • Serving as primary contact for program participants and speakers;
  • Preparation of event materials;
  • On-site program management;
  • Management of event financials; and
  • Administrative support for program director.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Excellent writing and proofing skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities;
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to interact in-person, by phone, and in writing with high-level professionals;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products as well as strong database experience;
  • Ability to travel independently; and
  • Familiarity with the legal and public policy fields and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cvent and Adobe InDesign.
