Global Alliance Administrator

The Global Education Office at George Mason University is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to administer the Global Education Office Global Alliance programs. A Global Alliance Program is a bilateral exchange cohort program built on shared curricular strengths between Mason and host institutions. The Administrator will be responsible for developing and administering relationships between hosting institutions and departments and programs at Mason. In the first year five Alliances will be developed serving approximately 125 students.

The Administrator will be responsible for identifying curricular synergies between partner institutions and departments and programs at Mason for development of a Global Alliance, liaise with the Global Education Office Registration Specialist on curriculum development, organize and schedule the semester, coordinate on-site staff and travel schedules, housing of visiting faculty and serve as the primary contact with partner institutions. The successful candidate must be able to trouble shoot and be comfortable resolving faculty and student issues.

Required Qualifiations:
Applicants must have the ability to keep track of multiple time sensitive tasks, pay great attention to detail, work with people of different cultures, and have strong computer skills (word processing and spreadsheet management) as well as strong administrative background.

The successful candidate will have a BA in International Studies, Education, or Foreign Language, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and demonstrated administrative experience, a background in study abroad, higher education administration, experiential education or field studies.
