International Admissions Assistant

The George Mason University Office of Admissions invites applications for a part-time International Admissions Processing Assistant position.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing and organizing admissions application materials;
  • Providing customer service to applicants (e.g., in person, by phone or e-mail, etc.); and
  • Assisting with other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail;
  • The ability to work as a member of a team;
  • Superior communication skills;
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to the overall goals of the Mason Admissions Office are needed;
  • The candidate must be comfortable working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations and college students of all ages, and be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations;
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and to maintain a positive attitude in a busy environment is required; and
  • Prior experience in a university admissions environment is preferred.

Working hours are Monday-Friday, four to five hours per day.

Please note that this is an hourly paid position that does not include university benefits.
