Applied Adjunct Faculty, Bassoon

The George Mason University School of Music seeks a part-time artist faculty member in bassoon starting Spring 2018. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason’s academic and culturally inclusive environment.

This position will teach applied music lessons, participate in audition days, instruct studio classes, and attend recruitment events as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have an established reputation as a performer and educator, and will hold a Master’s degree in music from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have extensive chamber music and orchestral experience as well as a record of developing, teaching, and recruiting quality bassoon students.
