Digital Specialist

The George Mason University and the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to maintain, update, and add content to their websites for their programs. Responsibilities:

  • Update website content and create new web pages, as needed, using the university CMS;
  • Active participation in web content planning meetings;
  • Work closely with back-end development team and customer-facing staff to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation of additions and changes to web content;
  • Ensure that sites along with the pages attached to them are in working order;
  • Ensure that the sites are user friendly and easy to navigate; and
  • Perform Cross-browser testing on mobile, tablet and desktop.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms (Drupal, Squarespace, WordPress);
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. PHP/JS a plus;
  • UI/UX design experience;
  • Knowledge of the general development/deployment process;
  • Excellent communication skills; and
  • Ability to understand and implement changes.
