Part-Time E-Commerce Specialist

The George Mason University, Fiscal Services Department is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a part-time E-Commerce Specialist position. This position is responsible for providing project coordination, technical and user assistance, and administrative support for the TouchNet Marketplace e-commerce platform.

  • Deliver full life-cycle project coordination and support for Mason Marketplace user engagement;
  • Provide administrative support to Fiscal Services Mason Marketplace Committee by tracking and reporting on implementation queues and incoming requests;
  • Coordinate data gathering and document customer requirements as part of the Mason Marketplace intake process;
  • Coordinate support activities by communicating with internal Fiscal Services support groups, Mason Marketplace merchants and third-party vendors;
  • Assist users with the build process for new Marketplace uStores and uPay sites;
  • Review application settings and produce documentation in defined formats to track Mason Marketplace uStore and Upay site configuration;
  • Conduct/coordinate testing and produce results documentation in test and production environments;
  • Develop documentation and reporting for TouchNet Marketplace application usage and related processes and procedures, as needed;
  • Assist the Fiscal Services Training Department with Marketplace training needs; and
  • Receive and respond to incoming questions and requests from users when stores or sites are live.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and careful attention to detail;
  • Ability to draw conclusions from complex data;
  • Ability to absorb and retain information and processes quickly;
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and manage multiple assignments;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to remain flexible in a busy, fast-paced office;
  • Prior project and/or program administration experience;
  • Knowledge of a variety of software including proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office;
  • Experience in Web-based operating environments and reporting tools;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, TouchNet eCommerce, or similar enterprise system; and
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science, business administration, or finance), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
