Transportation Administration and Support Coordinator

The George Mason University Facilities Management Department is seeking a Transportation Support Coordinator for the Fairfax, Va., campus. Responsibilities:

This is a multifaceted position that includes:

  • Handling the administration of the university’s transportation and reservation program by working with internal customers as well as external service providers;
  • Assisting transportation group with providing assistance for traffic management, bus services and routes, and other routine administrative duties as assigned; and
  • Working with various systems by inputting data and tracking vehicle usage and charges on assigned fuel cards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent typing, general office skills, and some bookkeeping experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and timely reports, work without close supervision, and communicate both orally and in writing;
  • Good customer relations skills; and
  • Proficient typing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated clerical, customer service, and/or secretarial experience;
  • Pleasant phone personality is a must; and
  • Must be able to develop positive relationships with clients.
