Executive Secretary, Global Antitrust Institute

The George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School seeks an Executive Secretary for the Global Antitrust Institute (GAI) on the Arlington campus. Responsibilities:

The Executive Secretary will be an integral part of the GAI team, responsible for administrative tasks, including:

  • Handling reimbursement requests;
  • Maintaining and updating GAI’s website and brochure;
  • Assisting GAI professors in creating GAI’s Annual Report;
  • Booking and coordinating travel for GAI professors;
  • Coordinating speaking engagements for GAI professors (sending speaker release forms, bios, pictures, etc.);
  • Drafting travel itineraries for GAI professors;
  • Drafting and maintaining lists of upcoming speaking engagements for GAI professors;
  • Formatting documents; and
  • Other administrative tasks designed to further GAI’s mission of providing economic training and comments to foreign competition judges and enforcers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Excellent organizational skills, proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively;
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accuracy-driven;
  • Professional demeanor with strong and effective written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with high-level professionals;
  • Desire to be integral part of the GAI team;
  • Superior skills in Microsoft Office products as well as strong database experience; and
  • Able to work some flexible hours and some weekends as well as travel (to potentially include some international travel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in event and communication management; and
  • Experience planning educational programs.
