Educational Research, Assessment and Data Analyst

The George Mason University College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) invites applicants for the position of Educational Research, Assessment, and Data Analyst. Responsibilities:

The Associate Dean for Research and Program Evaluation in CHHS is seeking to fill a position which will coordinate the regular activities and materials related to faculty productivity reporting, academic program accreditation, and pre-/post-award support. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the collecting and maintaining of evaluation information from each program’s faculty, administrators, students, alumni, and employers;
  • Participate in university and other training on policies and procedures for institutional and program accreditation;
  • Maintain a database of collected information;
  • Establish and maintain a storage system for efficient retrieval of all related materials;
  • Collate collected information for review and analysis by others;
  • Prepare tables and charts for presentation in reports;
  • Monitor the status of contract approvals between Mason and outside agencies; and
  • Perform pre-and post-award duties as needed and maintain frequent communications with university and CHHS personnel associated with program evaluation, accreditation, and sponsored research activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • General knowledge of academic programs;
  • Successful work experience with software programs in Microsoft Office;
  • Demonstrated communication skills with variety of customers/clients; and
  • Evidence of excellent work organization and demonstrated ability to work independently, but as a key team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in university setting;
  • Previous experience with sponsored research administration; and
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Banner and MicroStrategy.
