The George Mason University School of Music, within the College of Visual and Performing Arts, invites applications for a full-time Piano Technician. The School of Music is a registered All-Steinway School with Steinway grand pianos in the practice rooms and teaching studios. The Piano Technician will tune, voice, regulate, and repair actions for Steinway grand and upright pianos using specialized tools and instruments in accordance with professional standards and procedures; as well as maintain and arrange repair for the harpsichord and electronic keyboards. The incumbent may from time to time present lectures to classes on piano tuning and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Piano Technician. This position begins August 1, 2017.
